ALFOL 6 ALCOHOL - SASOL is a high-purity petrochemical-based 1-hexanol, also known as hexyl alcohol. This colorless liquid features a sweet, pungent odor and is classified as rapidly biodegradable in standard-ready biodegradability tests. offers versatile applications as it can be esterified, ethoxylated, propoxylated, sulfated, oxidized, and more. Sasol’s ALFOL® alcohols are equivalent to corresponding oleochemical-based alcohols derived from sources such as coconut oil or palm oil, both chemically and physically.
