- Product Highlights
- DBE®-LVP esters are a mixed aliphatic ester fluid designed for consumer product applications. Because of its extremely low vapor pressure, DBE®-LVP esters meet the consumer products LVP-VOC exemption criteria established by CARB for consumer and institutional products and the federal VOC exemption criteria for consumer products per the EPA 40 CFR 59.203 (f) 1. This means that when DBE®-LVP esters are used in a formulation, they do not count towards the total VOC content of the regulated consumer product.
- In addition to low volatility, DBE®-LVP esters exhibit a number of other features desirable for consumer and institutional product applications.
- They are non-flammable, readily biodegradable, non-corrosive and have a mild odor.
- They are readily soluble in alcohols, ketones, ethers and many hydrocarbons, but only slightly soluble in water and higher paraffins.
- Formulations with water can be achieved, however, using emulsion techniques.

- Shelf Life and Storage Condition
- Shelf-life Statement: An approximate shelf life of DBE®-LVP esters is 2 years, if the product is stored in the original container, kept tightly closed and dry, in a well ventilated location. Because storage and local ambient conditions vary and INVISTA has no control over the practices, procedures and conditions at your or other locations, the shelf life estimate provided here should be used as guidance only. It is not provided as a guarantee of any shelf life.
- Shipping and Handling: DBE®-LVP esters are readily available in bulk or drum quantities. It may be stored or handled using equipment constructed of mild steel or aluminum. While it is compatible with many plastics and elastomers, prospective users are encouraged to contact INVISTA for a separate technical sheet on compatibility information with resins and elastomers. All components of DBE®-LVP esters are included on the TSCA Chemical Inventory List. It is recommended product be stored in a non-translucent (opaque) container.
