STEPOSOL SC - STEPAN is available in drums (400 lb/181 kg) and in bulk quantities.
Storage & Handling
- Storage Condition
- Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling STEPOSOL SC - STEPAN. Contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling this material.
- Rags soaked with any solvent can present a fire hazard and should be stored in UL listed or Factory Mutual- approved covered containers. Improperly stored rags, under certain conditions can lead to spontaneous combustion.
- Recommended Drum Storage: STEPOSOL SC - STEPAN should be stored in sealed containers at a temperature between 50-122°F (10-50°C). Product temperatures over 130°F (54°C) are not recommended.
- Recommended Bulk Storage: STEPOSOL SC - STEPAN can be stored in vessels of carbon steel, but 316 or 304 stainless steel is preferred. Tanks should be closed with venting through a gooseneck vent. Pumps, pipes, and transfer lines can be carbon steel, but 316 or 304 stainless is preferred. Rubber hoses are not recommended for extended use. Material should be stored between 50-122°F (10-50°C). Product temperatures over 130°F (54°C) are not recommended.
