EPOTEC YDF 171 - ADITYA BIRLA is general-purpose unmodified Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-F. Although its viscosity is more than EPOTEC YDF 170, the std. bis-F based liquid epoxy resin it is still much lower than std. bis-A liquid epoxy resins and offer advantage in terms of better chemical resistance & flexibility. EPOTEC YDF 171 is compatible with all common epoxy resins in all ratios. A blend of EPOTEC YDF 171 with bisphenol-A based liquid resin has better resistance to crystallization compared to unmodified base resins. Blending of EPOTEC YDF 171 into std. bis-A based liquid epoxy resin brings down viscosity without affecting performance parameters unlike reactive diluent modified resin that affects mechanical, chemical and thermal resistance of the system. A combination of bis-A liquid epoxy, bis-F liquid epoxy and reactive diluent is possible and used in various applications.

EPOTEC YD 128 - ADITYA BIRLA is a liquid bisphenol a diglycidyl ether epoxy resin. It serves as a binder and resin within composite materials, offering applications as resins, binders, and matrix materials. It belongs to the epoxy and epoxy derivatives chemical family.

METHYL ACETATE - EASTMAN is a fast evaporating, mild odor, active solvent that can be used with a broad range of coating and ink resins. Because of its fast evaporation rate, this product is useful as the fast-evaporating component in high-low solvent systems and in other applications where fast solvent release and quick dry-to-touch time are needed. It is an active solvent for the following resins: cellulose acetate butyrate, nitrocellulose, vinyl copolymers, acrylics, epoxies, polyamides, phenolics, alkyds, and polyesters. Compared with other fast evaporating solvents, methyl acetate gives solution viscosity somewhat higher than acetone or MEK but lower than ethyl acetate. Where a mild odor, fast evaporating solvent is required, this product is a very good choice for formulators of coating and ink products. It is a VOC-exempt, non-HAP, non-ODS, readily biodegradable solvent that can be used in blends to develop environmentally friendly cleaners.
